First impressions
I wasn’t sure what I was going to be in for as this isn’t usually the type of hotel that I book. We took a taxi to the hotel and were surprised when we entered the hotel property. The Pullman King Power Bangkok hotel is massive and modern. Walking into the foyer you’ll notice they have a small bar and coffee stand (with barista) and many seating areas for guests to use and those checking in and out. We were greeted with a delicious iced tea.
The Look
It reminds me of a business hotel in Japan (like an upscale version of the Washington Shinjuku) but created by a millennial. The hotel has modern functionality at its forefront – the rooms are practical, the foyer is open and feels relaxing even at its size with plenty of usable spaces to work and relax.
There are smoking areas away from the pool and even though you’re in the middle of bustling Bangkok, as the facilities are all located within the inner area of the resort, so you get a sense of escape.
The room
Our room was located a bit of a walk from the main elevators so if you have trouble walking I would ask for a room close to the lifts. It was an easy walk for us, and even though the hotel is large the room was quiet and had a view of the inner courtyard area which has a small Japanese garden.
Although on the smaller side, the room was well equipped with a kettle, hairdryer, and all the one-use bathroom supplies you usually need. It had a shower and a bath which was a nice touch. The room is modern and in great condition, and the housekeeping was excellent and ensured it was well-kept.
The facilities
Co-working Spaces
There are plenty of spaces set up to sit and work at the Pullman King Power Bangkok hotel. It is popular with hosting conferences as it has lots of meeting rooms. While we were there one business was hosting an end of the year party in one of the ball rooms which looked like a blast.
Gym
The gym was great and is located right next to the massage and sauna so it smelt like lemongrass (which is far better than how gyms usually smell!). Although it was small, there were plenty of weights and machines to use.
Pool
The pool was freezing cold, even in the middle of the day. There was plenty of seating outside and a bar to the side. As this hotel is quite family friendly, the only people swimming were children with whichever parent lost the bet.
The Food & Drink
The Pullman King Power Bangkok resort is huge so there are a range of restaurants on site (mostly Japanese). The Japanese restaurant is located in the courtyard by the Japanese garden. The buffet breakfast is varied and has a range of different delicacies from all over the world. I will say that this is not the most vegan-friendly buffet breakfast I have had, though.
The Location
The great thing about this resort is that there is a giant duty-free mall (King Power Rangnam) connected to the hotel! You’ll be able to get basically everything you need from here, like a morning coffee from Starbucks through to a new suitcase.

The cold pool, full of children.
Who would love to stay at Pullman King Power Hotel in bangkok?
I think if you have a family, Pullman King Power Bangkok is a great place to come because you’ll have everything you need and there will be plenty of other families there for you to hang out with.
